I have one close friend that i would categorize as a girly-girl. She needs to look perfect before she goes anywhere, she can't have a hair out of place. She usually gets her weekly manicure and needs to flatter all the guys. She can be a good friend at times but there are sometimes that she is just clueless on how to be a good friend.
She worries about everything else before the important things. She is so absorbed in impressing guys and worrying about how everyone else feels. She has to always be the best looking when we go out. It can be really annoying at times. I'm sure everyone had like "one" friend that is the typical girly-girl. They are actually pretty amusing to watch because everything they do needs to be perfect. If they don't have their make-up on they cant leave the house, or if there hair isn't right they also can't leave the house. Being a girl i know the pressure we have to impress boys, but some girls just go overboard.

Pressures as a College Student
In college there are a lot of pressures that can come about. You can be exposed to so many new things and some of those "things" can apply pressure and stress to you. When I began college, I knew that things were going to change and it was going to be tough, but i didnt know how tough.
The biggest pressure i felt starting college was self-induced. I put a lot of pressure on myself to meet standards I made before entering college. I wanted to start college on a new person. I did not know anyone going into this adventure so I wanted to be myself and let people see me for the real person I am.
I never really experienced parental pressures. My parents wanted me to be happy and do what made me happy. They told me that they would support me in whatever I chose to do. I dont feel that i have experienced any peer pressure or economic pressure. I also hope to never experience any of those kinds of pressure either.

Average American 10 year old
Colin Duffy was, in most ways, like every other average 10 year old child. Ten year olds are very easy going, for the most part. When I was 10, like Colin, I pretty much grew up playing Nintendo. I loved playing outside and going to the town pizza palor. I went to school, came home and did homework, and then would either play video games or hang out with the kids on the block.
There were also many ways that I was different from Colin. Colin, at the age of 10, was concerned with things that the average 10 year old wouldnt be concerned with. Colin was concerned with issues of abortion, which most children do not understand at that age. Money was also another big concern of his. He liked money and wanted to have a lot of it. He had his life planned out beginning with where he wanted to go to school and what he wanted to be when he was older. When I was 10, I did not know what I wanted to do in life. I was content living the life of an average 10 year old child.

Nature
Nature is a place of relaxation and peacefulness. It is a place where one can feel calm and at rest. Nature is also a refreshing experience. When you sit outside, you see so many things happening. You can notice the leaves changing colors or falling off trees; you can see the change in the color of the sky as the day goes on; and you can get a sense of the fresh air by taking deep breathes. Nature is a place where you can become one. It is a beautiful place where all is at rest.

Why is Writing Important
Why is writing important? Writing is important because it is a way of learning. The more you write the more you will learn. Writing is a way of recording information from history and so that people can learn from the past. It is also a way of communication. You can keep incontact with old friends through email or writing letters.
In some cases, writing can be used as a form of emotional release. People keep journals and diaries to express their feelings. Some people keep their feelings to theirself until they can't take it away more. By writing, they can express how they feel and relieve any stress that is built up. Through writing people learn something new everyday.

High School English Courses
My high school English courses were like most other high school English courses. In my classes we studied the literary works of John Steinbeck, Ernest Hemingway, Shakespeare, and many other inspirational writers. One of the papers i had to write had to do with the symbolism in John Steinbecks books. I learned that most of John Steinbeck's books portrayed the same or similar symbolism in each book. In English class I learned that his book Of Mice and Men is very inspiring and portrays a good lesson to people.
My teachers were always very nice. They always held very constructive classes. The assignment that helped me learn the most was my English term paper. I was able to learn how to do research information and put my research into a well developed paper. I feel that by learning the proper way of writing a term paper I will be able to write any kind of research paper because I know the proper techniques on how to write a paper.
